2022 prices for custom portrait paintings:

Additional pets are available on 11″ x 14″ or larger at an additional cost. Prices listed are for 1 pet (head and shoulder) on a plain background. Full body and custom backgrounds may be requested at an additional cost.

Prices may be subject to change at any time. Prices are exclusive of framing. Shipping is $50 to Canada and USA. Free pickup is available for those in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area. Note that international deliveries may be subject to local import duties and taxes, which are the customers’ responsibility. We deliver worldwide.

Our paintings are completed using the highest artist-grade quality. The pigments in the artist-quality paints we use have superior lightfastness ratings that resist change in appearance over time and light exposure. To make sure your paintings last forever, we paint on artist-grade paper that is chlorine and acid-free; this is essentially the equivalent of museum archival grade paper.

This depends on whether there are any other paintings booked ahead of you, the size of the painting you’ve chosen, and the reference photo provided. Please contact us as soon as you’ve decided, for an estimated time to complete a painting for you and to place an order.

We accept orders on a first come, first serve basis. Once you contact us, we can let you know how many orders are ahead of you.

As well, we take great pride in the quality and details of our beautiful life-like paintings. Our hand-painted watercolour paintings are done with much love and care. Because of this, we do not wish to rush our paintings in order to avoid compromising the quality of our work.

We understand most people generally shop for gifts relatively close to the special date, be it a birthday, Anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Mothers or Fathers Day, or Christmas etc. For this, we gladly offer Gift Certificates to present to your loved ones. This way, they can take their time to choose the perfect photo of their pet that they love to be painted!

Any photo taken with a cell phone or camera that’s 2 MB or larger. We found that the best image size we’ve worked with was between 8 to 10 MB. The more details in the eyes and/or nose the better; however, it’s possible that we can work with you to get the best results if you have limited photos.

Absolutely! As long as the photo was taken by yourself and you own the photo. Just include the link of your Instagram photo when you contact us.

We accept payment by PayPal.

Once we’ve agreed on the photo choice, we’ll require a 50% deposit to get started. We’ll communicate regular updates and provide one or two photos of our progress to you. At the 75% mark to completion, we’ll require the remaining balance plus shipping costs to be paid prior to finishing the artwork. Note that international deliveries may be subject to local import taxes, which are the customers’ responsibility.

Due to the nature of the customised work, we do not offer refunds/returns/exchanges.

Payment:
The 50% deposit is non-refundable & non-transferable. Due to the nature of the customized work, all sales are final. Scottieandcasie reserves the right to cancel an order without explanation, whereby the client would be 100% refunded.

Copyrights & Reproduction:
By submitting a photo, you are giving full permission to scottieandcasie for a rendering of the image(s) and subject matter showed therein. All reference photographs used for the creation of the portrait(s) must be free of all copyrights unless otherwise accompanied by a signed written release form by the photographer or owner of the copyright. The client is in full understanding and agrees that he/she will be held responsible for any legal action taken by others for use of material that is not free and clear of all copyrights.

All scottieandcasie artwork is commissioned for personal use only and may not be used for financial gain unless a prior paid License Agreement is made with scottieandcasie to purchase reproductive rights. If you’d like to use images of your purchased artwork for personal use such as a profile picture and not for financial gain, you may do so by crediting @scottieandcasie and linking back to our websites at www.scottieandcasie.com, www.facebook.com/scottieandcasie and/or www.instagram.com/scottieandcasie. Artwork purchased does not transfer copyright, thus cannot be used, reprinted, or reproduced for financial gain. Scottieandcasie retains full reproduction copyright on all artwork produced, whether commissioned or not, which may be displayed on the Internet and other social media and/or reproduced in the future.
